Façade Rebate Program

The Special Service Area #39 (SSA39) Façade Rebate Program is designed to help property owners and their business tenants located within the SSA’s boundaries to improve and modernize the overall appearance of their storefronts.

The program offers a rebate of 50% to reimburse eligible improvement costs, for a maximum of $15,000 per Property Index Number(PIN) with a cap of $30,000.

Phase 1

• Submit completed application to SSA39
• Should include Summary of Cost Estimates
• Signed Statement of Understanding
• $50 non-refundable application fee payable to the Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council 
• Photos of existing building conditions and proposed project area
• Detailed plans and specifications of the proposed project
• Detailed cost estimates from at least two licensed contractors for each improvement.

 

Eligible Improvements

Ineligible Improvements

• Roofing Improvements
• Interior Improvements
• Rear, side, alley, or secondary improvements not visible from the public right of way
• Sidewalk café furniture
• Non main street facing improvements to parking lots
